Born in Québec, Canada, I started my art journey studying in the traditional French atelier methods of the past which puts great importance on form and life studies.
My practice revolves around working from life, which allows me to immerse myself in the surroundings, connecting deeply with the light, textures, rhythms and unique personalities that define each subject I choose to paint. Gardens and seascapes have been a source of constant inspiration for me to draw from and revisit.
I fell in love with the diversity and ever changing landscape of California after moving to San Diego and eventually finding my way to the Bay Area in 2018. My current focus has been working on a series of larger works featuring Filoli Gardens in its various seasonal appearances in the style of impressionism.

" ...my work is rooted in the belief that the act of painting from life offers a deeper connection to the world around us. I am drawn to the interplay between nature, light, and the human form, and I seek to explore these relationships through both landscape and portraiture. My paintings are an attempt to capture fleeting moments—those brief, ever-changing instances when light shifts, shadows dance, or a quiet garden breathes with life."
